"Madea's Witness Protection" (2012)- Review

Image
I thought that the beginning of the movie was kind of slow and boring, even though funnyman Eugene Levy was cracking me up. But, once Madea showed up in the picture-everything cleared up and I was laughing non-stop. Perry's character as Madea and Joe are so damn funny and really captivates audiences, but what I cannot seem to get with Perry is when he is acting as Brian, in any capacity, he is just plain and very very ordinary. He cannot capture a screen at all! All people want is Madea! Madea! Madea! Any and EVERY scene in this movie where Joe and Madea were, I was laughing uncontrollably and almost falling out of my seat and could not catch my breath and tears of laughter coming from my eyes because Madea is just so very very funny! Madea makes ANY Tyler Perry film-Tyler just cannot grab my attention like his other roles he plays in his films, sorry to say that, but it is the truth! I was impressed with the movie, truthfully-but as soon as a funny scene was over, it was back to …

"People Like Us" (2012)- Review

This movie was so touching and very inspiring! I did NOT want to leave the theater to use the restroom, get concessions, etc.! Banks delivered a spectacular performance! Her feisty attitude, headstrong capabilities, & mannerisms is what made her character shine. She was very captivating in this role and I loved her scenes from start to finish! I just could not wait to see her again and again on the screen! Pine's character was slow in the very very beginning of the movie, but once he met with the lawyer, he was no longer boring. He was really funny and serious at the times where he needed to be, not 100% serious, but serious in the way that you could tell when he was not joking about something esp. as it related to his nephew in the film. The actor who played Banks' son in this film was very talented and kept me laughing and just looking at him in total shock and disbelief simply because of the things that he said and did. They picked the right little actor to play Banks&#…

"Ted" (2012)- Review

Image
I think that this was DEFINITELY NOT a movie to bring a child to! Do NOT be fooled by the teddy bear! That bear was tripping me out in the theater. Wahlberg and Kunis were very good in this film! I could not stop laughing. There were so very very very many sexually explicit and vulgar scenes from Ted and Wahlberg and the two of them combined! I cannot believe that Mark made this type of film. This is not his typical type of genre, but changing it up like this is perfection-for him! He really made his character shine on the screen. His character was a scared little boy who had his own LITTLE life, separate from his adult life and his teddy bear was his BFF, and from the moment the film began til the very end Mark's character was consistent and it was astonishing to me because usually a character grows in a film-his character grew, but Ted will always be a part of his life, but what he learned is that he can survive now with his own Ted, which is Lori. The story line is cute and ca…

"Magic Mike" (2012)- Review

Even though I LOVED this movie and it was very funny and entertaining-it, unfortunately was a cheaply made film because I could not wait until it was over for ONE reason and ONE reason only: the very poor picture quality! The photo stills for this movie on the internet had more color and was brighter than this! I felt like I was staring directly into the sun while watching this entire film! It was brown and very bright! I did NOT NOT NOT like that all. Besides that one terrible flaw, the movie was just _______! I cannot think of the highest word that is the equivalent to sensational and perfection to put in the blank! Lol! McConaughey was the BEST actor of them all! His role was just badass! He was funny , sexual, cool, crude, and cruel when he needed to be. My favorite scene with him was when he was teaching Pettyfer how to take his clothes off in front of the ladies! ROTFLMAO! That was the best scene of the ENTIRE MOVIE! Pettyfer's character for the most part, was very funny a…

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" 3D (2012)- Review

Image
I was quite disappointed in the film to be truthful-I was sad that the scenes I taped for over 12 hours were cut so dramatically to like 8 seconds or less and the fact that it was lacking the action that the trailers were showing people. It was very misleading & the film was basically about Lincoln hunting down vampires and killing them and NOT about hunting down the ONE vampire that killed his mother. Against my better judgement, I saw it in 3D, and I will be honest and say that there was quite a very large percentage of 3D effects in the film. BIG-TIME especially in the very beginning. it is HARDCORE COOL, AMAZING, and just MAGNIFICENT 3D. The visual and special effects were awesome. I mean, it was so realistic like you were there! I will give credit where it was due and it certainly was due here! As a whole, I felt that it was an average movie. I doubt that it will conquer and take its place at the No. 1 spot this weekend as people are suggesting & there has been so much ta…

"That's My Boy" (2012)- Review

I felt like this movie was like a medium-grade porno flick with all the illicit sexual imagery and references first of all and I rate this film an "R" and an "X-rated" simply because of that! I was so shocked at the images and the things that two very distinct strippers were doing and how they looked during their performances as strippers at the strip club that my mouth just dropped completely to the floor in disgust and in awe at seeing something "that big" on the big screen from the black female stripper! ROTFLMAO! The white stripper was just...you HAVE to see it and then you will realize where I am coming from! I really enjoyed the movie from start to finish & the young Donny captured the screen just like Adult Donny! The movie was sexual, adult, funny, slutty, and just very very extremely entertaining! You just cannot help but to laugh and there was a twist with Jamie's character. I figured out who it was, but will you is the question? I love …

"Prometheus" (2012)- Review

Maybe it was just me or the fact that I am not that into Science-Fiction films, I dunno, but I thought the film was okay, but there should have been more well-known actors in this movie besides Pearce and Theron! I had the chance to see it in ADVANCE and in 3D, and trust me-the very beginning of the film-just say the first 10 or 15 minutes, it was nothing but a ton of 3D effects, but after that time had past, it was nothing to see but great visual effects that looked like you could grab micro-seconds of 3D! I am so serious! There were very minimal parts of the movie that had 3D, but it happened so rapidly like if you were to blink, you would miss it. My suggestion is if you see this film, do NOT see it in 3D. IMAX? If you want to pay the extra cash, sure. There were some gory and Alien vs. Predator type scenes in the middle of the film and especially towards the end. Gross! Yucky stuff! That procedure that Dr. Shaw did to herself was the absolute worst thing to see and to see how…

"Snow White & The Huntsman" (2012)- Review

Image
This was just an epic movie of all time although, I KNEW that it would deviate slightly from the original fairy-tale ! Lol! You cannot re-make or make a movie out of a classic fairy-tale and not change up a few things here and there! Lol! One thing is for absolute certain: Charlize Theron really captured the screen with her performance as the Evil Queen Ravenna! I only wanted to see the movie because of her and what I really thought that was odd is that Mr. Chris Hemsworth! He is always having some sort of a weapon in his hands in any movie he is making like Thor! Lol! Kristen Stewart played an average Snow White, but someone else could have portrayed the role far better than her I can imagine. She tried to fake an accent and sometimes it would go in and out, but I only see her as Bella on Twilight! I cannot see her playing any other role than that! Stewart did not capture the screen in this movie, considering that she is the female lead in the film. She could have done a much better …
