"Disconnect" (2013)- Review

Astonishing. Mesmerizing. Heart-pounding. This movie was so deep, real, intense, but most of all-emotional. I could literally feel the pain, hurt, loss, & anguish of the characters. This film hits...and it hits you hard. It has serious messages to relay to audiences. There are consequences-some severe to your actions; you never realize what people are holding inside; adaptability to things not good for you; not realizing the importance of family and stability. The movie was not sad or depressing. It was hard to watch. The film explored a network of people who all were "disconnected" and disenchanted in their everyday lives and it showed how deep the pain was for them. As the film progresses, you can see how certain people are connected & how at the close of the film-everything and everyone "gets connected." The movie is deep & very serious. It touches on real issues that can and are going on someplace in society. It makes you stop and think about so many topics-how people really can get off course because of one thing and they are fighting to get back to that place they started at. Here is how I see the close of the film: The two siblings may not have gotten along, but it was symbolic to me because she CONNECTED back with him because of the earphones & laying by his side. I said it vague because I do not want to spoil it for you but when you see it; you'll know...
