"Devil's Due" (2014)- Review
The MAIN reason that I did NOT like this film was simply because the camera was constantly moving like in the movies such as The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield and I really wanted to barf for the entire 1 hour and 26 minutes that I was watching it. This movie is very compatible to the Hostel films in the way that people are drugged and then taking to a dark and secluded place for some kind of sadistic ritual of vodoo, etc. The movie was very stillborn until the very end when things started to liven up a tad! The ending was the best part of the movie. I really was very disappointed in it because it got a lot of advertising-they most likely had to do that because they either knew or had a feeling that it would not be that good of a movie. Films that typically have a bunch of no-named actors or actors just starting out in this industry will not be a big draw as compared to big well-known actors even promising younger actors such as: Emma Stone, Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron, etc. The movie sucked so save your money EVEN your matinee movie money! There is nothing scary but ONE shock and the ending which everything happens with in two minutes and the ending is like the entire movie: horrific (not in a good way, either)!
