"Split" → Has Minimal Cracks!

Film Synopsis: Three girls are kidnapped by a man (James McAvoy) with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities; they must try to escape before the apparent emergent of a frightful new 24th.

I will start off by stating the VERY obvious...the trailer was phenomenal & I was intrigued by the storytelling concept of the film as well as the overall story-line. When the film came on, it set the tone and everything was going great until the movie started to get deeper and deeper into Kevin's mind and all the other personalities and why he made them up.

I was not expecting a horror film, but the trailer made it look as if some sort of horror would be in the film which it wasn't until the very END of the film & it was very mediocre horror- not what I
was expecting.

-------------SPLIT (PAGE BREAK)-------------Lol

Overall, I enjoyed the movie and I have to say this- that I am shocked that this film beat out XXX: Return of Xander Cage & shocked that the trailer was a lot better than…

"Sleepless" → From Time To Time....

Film Synopsis: A cop (Jamie Foxx) with a connection to the criminal underworld scours a nightclub in search of his kidnapped son.

I enjoyed this movie thoroughly & I was feeling it until the film took a turn and started showing on the theater screen in fast/slow motion. I am not sure if it as a technicality or not, but if it wasn't then that technicality will cost this movie dearly because this was a damn good film!

The way that it ended will rock you away! I mean it; the ending will catch you off guard and it is NOT something that you will ever see coming! I also wonder if you will figure out who the bad cop or cops are? This was a serious crime drama film that keeps you on the edge of you seat the entire time!

I loved every minute of the film. Jamie Foxx & Michelle Monaghan stole and captured the screen. The
film was entitled "sleepless" because the roles that these two actors played: they never had the time to sleep because they were dedicated to their jobs and…

"Patriots Day" → Something That Imprints On You!

Film Synopsis: The story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing & the aftermath, which includes the city-wide manhunt to find the terrorists responsible.

I have no idea where to start. Especially when I see movies like this! I can admire and respect films like this because they are solely based on true events that really happened, but to actually see it on a big screen makes me feel the emotions of every one in an instant. An instant!

Wahlberg really made me feel his emotions as he did his voice-over scene at the close of the movie and when he captured the screen to me was when he arrived home after the explosion to everyone in his house and cried his heart out to his wife about what he saw and how he asked her to come and meet him. He was overcome with so many emotions.

I was as well! Mark Wahlberg is "apatriot." He is a role model to so many people. There is a reason he signs on to do films like this & Deepwater Horizon

Mark Wahlberg wants America to know that he's…

"Live By Night" → Gets Dimmer & Dimmer w/Time!

Film Synopsis: A group of Boston-bred gangsters set up shop in balmy Florida during the Prohibition era, facing off against the competition and the Ku Klux Klan.

First off, I have to say- watching this movie was like me re-watching the very infamous, "Godfather" with Marlon Brando & Al Pacino. Ben Affleck did one very stellar & terrific job at portraying a monster crime boss and mad man gangster!

His look, extensive collections of hats, and his killer swag all wrapped up into one was what him soar in this film. True, the film had action, crime, and the murders
were a bit on the mild gory side (not as in the actual Godfather or hardcore Tarintino). When Affleck killed someone or his accomplices killed someone it was BAM- right on camera in front of your face and blood splattering every place you can see! That's intense!

The introduction of Graciella was perfect & was the climax of the film I felt simply because she was not like his former love who he seemed to …

"Hidden Figures" → Soars & Sky Rockets!

Film Synopsis: A story of three African- American women (Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, & Janelle Monae) mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the space program.

Each of the three actresses in the film shined in their own unique and identifying way. First we have Katherine played by Henson: she really got into character when she "spoke her mind" about what needed to be voiced!" You will "feel" it and praise it when you see it! That is all I'm saying on that!

She was a stone-cold assassin with those numbers! I was in amazement that a story like this; especially this true story; centered on such an intelligent African-American woman. So serious! I was honored
that this story and her life was brought to the big screen and to society as a whole.

Dorothy portrayed by Spencer: she was the type of person who brought the flare and pizzazz to the film. Dorothy spoke her mind for what she strongly and fiercely believed in, a…
