"Get Out" → Beyond Crazy In A Good 'TSA' Way!

Film Synopsis: A young African-American man (Daniel Kaluuya) visits his Caucasian girlfriend's (Allison Williams) mysterious family estate.

Oh, yeah- it was A LOT more than what poor Chris had bargained for, I'd say the least! I wasn't sure in seeing this movie at first, but then started noticing all of the positive buzz surrounding it and I never listen to critics reviews because they bash every movie- every time! This is a new-age type of horror film, although it was not scary, but more on the psychological side.

I am glad I followed my second instincts although Chris should have followed his friend, Rod's advice. About halfway through the movie, I just blurted out in my head as I saw the crazy grounds/housekeepers what I believed was going on in the film or what the story-line was all about and I was dead on the head with it! I am not saying it is predictable, but it is easy to solve and yet complicated at the same time.

The movie started off like a classic Halloween m…

"A Cure For Wellness" → Has A Faint Pulse

Film Synopsis: An ambitious young executive (Dane DeHaan) is sent to retrieve his company's CEO from an idyllic, but mysterious "wellness center" @ a remote location in the Swiss Alps, but soon suspects that the spa's treatments are not quite what they seem.

This was definitely one creepy, sadistic, backwards, disgusting, gross, & twisted movie! All of these terms listed above that I have just described goes towards all of the events that took place in the sanitarium.

Some parts of the movie were predictable while the secret & mystery of the character of Hannah was quite difficult to catch; I did, in fact figure out only half of her mystery, but when the other half was revealed along with Dr. Volner's secret, I was blown away.

The movie was very good and was the right Rx as a movie but what they were giving to the patients at the hospital- not so much. I feel that the movie would have been better if there were some well-known actors in it. There was no big…

"The Great Wall" → Collapses!

Film Synopsis: European mercenaries searching for black powder become embroiled in the defense of the Great Wall of China against a horde of monstrous creatures.

The movie started off good & somewhat strong in 3D. I opted in to see the 3D version of the film (EARLY ADVICE- the 3D stops after the first monstrous attack). I'm not completely sure what happened after that, but it went downhill. No barriers could keep this wall up- it broke & shattered all the way down.

I am a huge fan of Matt Damon's work and I will see any and everything that he stars in no matter if it will be a flop or not to be honest with you! This movie falls into that category! The one true thing that I can say about this film was that the tone/vibe was on-point for the opening sequence especially the Chinese aspect of it all. It made me feel like I was really there! That was immaculate to me!

The movie was all about finding the black powder. That was the entire plot of the film. Nothing about the his…

"Fist Fight" → Packs Light Punches!

Film Synopsis: When one school teacher (Charlie Day) gets the other teacher (Ice Cube) fired, he is challenged to an after-school fight.

This may be a comedy movie but it is a TRUE story at that I strongly believe. And here is the reason- the entire movie was about Strickland challenging Campbell to a fight and let's just omit the part about why he challenged him. The movie is about bullying. A topic that America addresses all the time.

Campbell, who a lot of people are like in the world today are nice people and allow everyone to bully and walk all over them because they are scared to stand up and fight and defend themselves.

Sometimes, in life you have fight, but the majority of times you can elect to use your head instead of your fists. Standing up for yourself does not mean fighting and disrespecting someone. It means that you can stand up by telling some one what is on your mind, but choose your words carefully so that a situation will not escalate.

I was so proud of Campbell…

"Fifty Shades Darker" → Comes Into The Shadows...

Film Synopsis: While Christian (JamieDornan) wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) must confront the anger & envy of all the women who came before her.

Sequels always seem to be so much more better than originals to me. Don't you agree? I think that Dakota & Jamie are the perfect match to play the characters of Ana & Christian.

I don't want to say that Ana is a nitwit or nothing but she says some of the off the wall things in these films that are stupid, but yet funny and at the same time she is a strong & eager young woman who can handle situations that arise her way. In this second installment, I saw what I knew was coming-- and that was Christian starting to change.

It was odd to see him cuddling with Ana, cooking with her, and just being ....dare I say it...NORMAL! Lol! This movie was filled with more intrigue, dynamic plots, mystery, and love. I love the love story in this sequel unlike the first where it was just raunchy and raw. I cou…

"John Wick: Chapter 2" → A Killer Chapter!

Film Synopsis: After returning to the criminal underworld to repay a debt, John Wick (Kenau Reeves) discovers that a large bounty has been placed on his life- can he survive this chapter of his life?

Loved the movie! Sequels are always better to me than original movies in an installment series for some reason. Lol!
Sure, in the first John Wick, Reeves was killing and knocking down any barriers placed in his path. In this sequel, he amplified it!The movie had one or two "run pee" moments, but I held it because I did not want to miss a second of this thrilling film I had been waiting a year for! I loved every punch it packed and threw! Ready for Chapter 3!

To have a movie with a mixture of action and regular scenes with just dialogue and no action is normal. You can't have a movie solely focused on running and killing for 2 straight hours- you have to have some dialogue to fill in the blanks with to fully grasp why the killings are going to happen. The way Wick was killing pe…

"Rings" → Going In Endless Circles!

Film Synopsis: A young woman (Matilda Lutz) finds herself on the receiving end of a terrifying curse that threatens to take her 7 days.

I have seen all of the Ring movies in the franchise so how could I opt out of this one? I don't want to give this one a terrible rating, but I am brutally honest when it comes to my ratings on films and I cannot cut corners or give this one slack.

It didn't suck but it was not what I expected. I never did get sleepy or fell asleep on it but I was expecting a hell of a lot more of what I saw. It was bland; like eating food that had a very, very, very mild and faint taste! There were the horror portions in the film that made it scary, but it did not make me gag, cover my eyes, jump, be in suspense, nothing like that at all.

I was not rocking back and fourth in my chair in high anticipation because of the "scary movie predictable music." I just was not feeling this movie as I thought that I would.

I think that I have seen so m…
