"Get Hard" (2015)- Review

Image
The laughter is contagious! Will Ferrell an Kevin Hart worked so flawlessly together in this movie. It was non-stop hilarious from beginning to end. There were parts where my jaws were aching from laughing so damn hard. "Mayo & Chocolat" were just too much! The movie could make a soft man/woman hard- Kevin Hart is a stone-cold genius!

His movies are always full of jokes and such energy. Ferrell is a funnyman too. Combining these two was triple dripple the laughter and the fun. I cannot narrow down what was my best part of the movie. Every second of the movie was funny. It never ceases to amaze me that how acting stupid can be so incredibly funny to people.

Certain comedians have it down pat and Will and Kevin are two of those people along with a lot more I can't think of right now. If someone required me to say what my absolute best part of this movie was, I'd have to say the scene where Hart's character told Ferrell's character to go and ask a ________ i…

"Insurgent" in IMAX 3D (2015)- Review

I was absolutely excited about the second installment of the Divergent series! I saw this movie in IMAX 3D. There was not a lot of 3D imagery in the film, but it still surpassed my expectations. James and Woodley have great on-screen chemistry. Woodley knows how to get in there and be a fighter, a survivor, a....divergent! Ha!

The role that James portrays-- I am always impressed with how much emphasis he places on his character. I have seen him grow from being a shallow smart-ass to a concerned hard-ass. I can tell the difference. His character cares more, more about people and less on the materialistic things. That is one thing that sticks out to me.

In the beginning of the film, he wanted to maintain peace and tried to be civilized but until he is forced in a situation where reason and logic has gone out of the window- he will resort to what he knows best: anger and fighting. I loved the way Winslet's character stopped at nothing to find what she thought was the enemy but in fac…

"Run All Night" (2015)- Review

Neeson's character was key to the movie...there was nothing wrong with his killer performance, but the movie was cheaply made. I could just see it- so easily. Sure, it was what Liam loves to produce, obviously: an action movie. The film was a tad bit slow starting out, but once the son is out for blood- that is when it picked up momentum.

It was poorly edited; the picture quality was not that great &  it could have been better considering it was centered around Neeson. It was a good film to watch but it had the same story-line I felt to Mr. & Mrs. Smith- a rivalry of two people who had or have a strong type of relationship trying to hurt one another over some sort of vendetta or a job.

Common was not seen a lot in the film, but he was one badass assassin! He looked and acted the part. That man was on the warpath for Neeson's character! Kinnaman did an average job as well. Something was missing from the movie- maybe it was more intense action or something; but something …
