Expand Your Mind - or Not.......

Travis' Breakdown:

The movie was very - illuminating, but not the "worldwide phenomenon event" that it advertised although I was not expecting a blockbuster from the preview to be brutally honest with you. I felt like I was watching the 2000 Mel Gibson film, What Women Want where he could only hear women's thoughts! Lol!

Then the other movie came to mind that they made which was a spin-off to that called What Men Want where Taraji P. Henson could only hear men's inner thoughts! Oh geezum! Am I a movie buff or what, huh? I can make some darn good comparisons can't I ? Let's dive right in about my thoughts on this film.

Overall, I felt it was a enjoyable 'lil movie to be honest with you - not a blockbuster success, but a success nonetheless. I have to tell you, that Tom Holland aka Spiderman really is a funny little dude. His quirks and comments just kill me! He has me laughing and smirking the entire time I was watching the movie! He should do more comedy-type centered movies!!!

Truth be told, he is funny in everything he does even though he sticks to adventure type films. He should try to branch out in genres and expand his craft a little bit more. He and Daisy Ridley really had on-screen magic in the film. They got along really well! They lit up on the screen and no, I am not just talking about the special effects, either! HaHa!

The way that the film came on was right on point too. As a phrase came upon the screen explaining the premise of the film, there were only 2 words in that ENTIRE phrase THAT REMAINED ON THE SCREEN AS ALL OF THE OTHER WORDS VANISHED FROM THE MOVIE SCREEN AND THAT WAS CHAOS WALKING. I thought that was kind of cool.

Now onto the serious aspect of the film. Some of you may or may not agree with what I am about to say and that is totally okay because you all know that I value any and all comments, but in my candid opinion, there are NO women in this movie, because they all are dead and non-exsistant and all the men can see each other's Noises' which are their thoughts.

They literally can be seen and read by everyone (what you are thinking silently is literally shown in a cloud above your head in the film) and my point that I am trying to make is: have you ever heard the saying that a dangerous man is a "thinking man?" That means a man that is calculating, cunning, thinking, intelligent, smart, and never allows anyone to know his thoughts or what he is planning? No one knows how to prepare for a person like that, right?

If you go to battle with someone, how can you know their weakness and how to defeat them if they have never shown them to you? Right? That is my point that I am trying to make you see. That is what I saw while watching this movie. Some of the men knew how to control their Noise and not let others know and see what they were thinking while others were weak and showed it and had no self control. I feel like that is how the world is today - do you somewhat agree with that? A lot? A little?

Do you feel that you should never let people know your strengths and weaknesses so that they can prepare for you for a comeback or revenge or use something that you have said or done in the past against you? This movie really made me reflect and think about what I have just wrote. Tell me, do you agree? It has the right name, because with all the thoughts that were going on in all of those men's minds it was nothing but pure chaos walking all around because there was no peace, no balance, and no equality, but do you know who did that?
