"Like A Boss" Is Spicy Like A Bottle Of Hot Sauce!

Travis' Grade Of: [B+]

Would I recommend YOU to pay to see this in the theater? YEAH! THIS WAS A VERY FUNNY FILM THANKS TO HADDISH AND BYRNE AND HAYEK! ALL THREE COMBINED!

My Critique On "Like A Boss" is this - this is simply a movie about two best friends who try to invent themselves in the fashion/cosmetics industry.....

Film Synopsis: Two friends (played by Tiffany Haddish & Rose Byrne) with very different ideals start a beauty company together. One is more practical while the other wants to earn her fortune and live a lavish lifestyle!

Classification of Film: Comedy

...and the question is whether or not they can do it. I will have to say that Tiffany Haddish's performance rocked! She nailed it - as always! She added 50% of the laughter in the film & both Salma Hayek & Rose Byrne each added 25% of laughter to the film! Each of these three actresses provided the humor to the film and the scenes with the girls best friends added some bonus humor.

The film was not drop dead hilarious - but there was plenty of laughter to go around the film was highly entertaining thanks to Haddish for taking the lead. The things that this comedian says is so off the wall funny that you just cannot help but to laugh and when Byrne tried to be funny doing the silliest and stupidest things, it was mildly funny - not highly, but mildly comical.

This is a sweet and funny type of film that is worth seeing at a matinee price, but not full price, but if you are a fan of Tiffany Haddish or any of the other two actresses in it and want to pay regular full weekend price, I say go for it. You will not be disappointed. I was not disappointed. It was funny just like the trailers proclaimed it to be. That's all.

The main point of the film was that, to me, Mel & Mia were best friend, but their issue/s was that I saw was that they did not know how to communicate with each other about things the other friend disliked about their character and themselves.

For instance, one example is that Mia was the straight-forward and speak her mind type of person where Mel was the follower and not a leader as Mia and she was apprehensive about telling Mia things about herself that she had to hear, but Mel knew how her strong personality was and she did not know how to tell her to stop being so stubborn and listen.

Communication is the key to ALL relationships, whether be platonic or romantic. Eventually with GOOD communication each friend realized what they needed to change about each other and they came together. That is the MAIN premise of the film in my candid opinion.

Sure, the film might have been about two besties opening up they own cosmetics line, but in the end if a relationship is meaningful and valuable and if two people stray away from each other - if the relationship is meant to be...it will be - NO MATTER who or what tries to dismantle what you have built whether it be a business or a bond that is so unbreakable that it can withstand any test!

THIS MOVIE IS 100% WORTH SEEING!!!
